Dr. Shawn Sanicola

Dr. Shawn Sanicola is a Wisconsin native who was born and raised in Milwaukee. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, he went on to receive his degree in Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Upon graduation he completed a three-year surgical residency program at the Denver Veterans Administration Hospital and the United States Air Force Academy.

Dr. Sanicola is a board-certified surgeon with extensive training and experience in limb salvage surgery and sports medicine. Being a former college athlete and a foot and ankle surgeon for the USAFA, he understands the mindset of the athlete and focuses on returning the patient to full activity as efficiently as possible.

Dr. Sanicola continues to be active in research and brings cutting edge technology directly to his patients in an effort to maximize their care. He has lectured extensively throughout the country on limb salvage and diabetes.

In his spare time, he most enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, coaching, and volunteering for Waukesha Free Clinic and Lake Area Free Clinic.
